Classic Beef Chili

Servings 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 2 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped
  • 8 oz Mushrooms Chopped
  • 2 1/2 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 2 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp Thyme
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Pepper
  • 3 cloves Garlic Chopped
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 cans Tomato Sauce 14.5 oz each
  • 2 cans Pinto Beans Drained
  • 2 cans Petite Diced Tomatoes 14.5 oz each
  • 3 tbsp Brown Sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat oil on high in a large pot. Add in the beef, mushrooms, and onions. When the onions start to sweat, add in the spices.

  2. When the beef is fully cooked and the onions and mushrooms are soft, add in the garlic and cook for an additional minute while stirring. 

  3. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Simmer for at least one hour.

  4. Serve with cheese, sour cream, and Fritos. Kick it up a notice with jalapeƱos and hot sauce!
